Welcome to the Motor Racing Publications website
Thank you for visiting us; we hope you will find your journey through our web pages both helpful and enjoyable. But first, a few words of introduction and explanation. Did you know, for example, that books carrying the familiar MRP ‘stopwatch’ logo have been adorning the bookshelves of motorsport and car enthusiasts for more than 60 years? Our current list of more than 50 in-print titles range from the widely respected Collector’s Guides and MRP Autoguides, covering some of the world’s most desirable high-performance and classic cars, to in-depth motorsport histories and biographies. These include Doug Nye’s highly acclaimed multi-volume history BRM: The Saga of British Racing Motors, the third part of which goes on sale in March 2008, with a fourth and final volume to follow. Also new, and recalling this golden era of international motor racing in his autobiography To Finish First, Phil Kerr, a life-long friend and former co-director, first of Sir Jack Brabham and then of Bruce McLaren, reveals the inside story behind the successes and tragedies, the deals and disasters, of the Cooper, Brabham and McLaren teams during the 1960s and ’70s, a period widely recognised today as the heart of the historic motor racing scene. MRP’s recent programme has also included The British at Le Mans, by endurance racing expert Ian Wagstaff, featuring 85 years of endeavour by everyone from race winners to spectators, and from skilled marshals to talented team managers.
